Glancing at the title you may think I'm talking about only the adversity that comes in our lives. While you can see it that way, I'm talking about physical storms. This is especially sometimes difficult for me because in the springtime our city gets a lot of afternoon storms. I've had a longtime fear of lightning and that makes it hard for me to see the beauty of it. I never thought of lightning as a useful ray of light during a dark storm. Nor did I see lightning as just one of the many beautiful objects God created. I always associated it with injuries and death. I'm still coming to grips with this but in time I'll learn to appreciate lightning as a good thing.

All storms, either physical or spiritual, are hard to understand. We don't know why God allowed them or was it something we caused to happen. The good news is that whatever storms we face, God doesn't leave us to fend for ourselves. The light is always at the end of the tunnel for believers. He may not take the storms from us, but we can endure them with His love and grace.
