The River

The river of life is the river of lies
Flows free in vast skies
Questions asked and reasons why
The lost call out in wearied cries.

Wash over me and release my pain
Send me peace, no loss is gain
Guide me now my sins, my stain
Watch me now, my heart contain.

You are always here, Your face I see
I don’t understand what you do in me
Its only with You, I can be free
In your arms I stand by Thee.

When I call your name, I see white doves
Their flight brings my heart to heaven above
They bring to me, and make we wary of
Your never ending, unfailing love.
