Let’s Just Be Real
If God Is God, Serve Him


We glorify him not as God when we aren’t real
Our joy is not complete when we aren’t real
When we don’t give right, it’s because we aren’t real
We do not live right because we aren’t real
Our hearts is not glad because we aren’t real

We are looking to see where mistakes are in others, so we don’t magnify God’s word when it says if our brother is found with a fault to restore such a one in the faith. We cannot stand in the gap when we are not real. We won’t face reality because we are not real ourselves so our vision is cloudy. We are grieving the Holy Ghost when we voice things we should not that has no virtue or precedence. Psalms 61:2 says, God has been a shelter for me and if God is your shelter, then just be real.

We have to make sure our motives and intents in our hearts are real. Jeremiah 30:24 says, The fierce anger of the Lord shall not return, until he hath done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it. The Lord is against us when we perform deeds outside of the realm of our hearts. Our motives, emotion, desire, physiological need, or similar impulse that acts as an incitement to action is not causing anything to happen. It has not impelled into action any reasonable cause to show realness in our lives. Your motive in doing a thing should motivate someone to be moved off of your energy. A lot of people is doing things purely out of selfish reasons. How that there agenda may be fulfilled in the situation. Their intents are purely about themselves rather than God. We must find the will of God and stay there. If I do this or that, how it may prosper me. Hebrews 4:12, for the word of God is quick and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. God knows if we are real or not. He knows if we are just speaking vain words or if we mean what we say. The word will prick our hearts when we say something if it is not real in our hearts. The Holy Ghost checks our heart for what the word says, not what we say. We can say we love someone, but in our hearts we don’t love them like we are expressing that we do, we are deceiving ourselves as well as the other person, but God is not fooled. We know our hearts is so far away from the words we are speaking. Just say what is true in your heart, be real.

Many of us, just like Judas, the one that betrayed Christ with a kiss for thirty pieces of silver, helped them bring Jesus before the council, the Elders, the Chief Priest, and Scribes. They asked him, art thou the Christ? They already knew that he was, but he answered them and said, if I tell you, you will not believe. Some of us doubts who Jesus really is, lets be real and if I also ask you, ye will not answer me nor let me go. Some of us don’t realize the power that works in us.

They brought him to Pilate and accused him. We accuse him today, because we won’t be real. We found this fellow perverting the nation and forbidding to give tribute to Ceasar, saying that he himself is Christ. They were looking for a way to do away with God and if some of us would be real, we are looking for a way not to be in Christ now. We use to many excuses for what we want to do. Just be real men and women, be true. Who do you day Jesus is. You say a lot when you do not understand who, what, and why he is. If you don’t know, say you don’t know, lets just be real.

Pilate found no fault in Jesus, but we do even when we are not looking for any fault. What good in someone else, your sister and brother are you tearing down? Lets get real. Pilate looked for a reason not to be involved, get blood on his hands, but he was as guilty as the one that hung Jesus up on the cross, he could have turned him a loose rather than send him to Herod’s Jurisdiction. Herod however was glad that Pilate sent Jesus since he himself wanted to see Jesus, as he had heard many things about Jesus and hoped to see some miracles performed by Jesus himself. Lets be real, some of us, if Jesus is doing nothing so to speak in our lives as we see it, to advance our pocketbooks or our status in life, we will not be real and say that he is who he is and beside him there is none other. Our faith is in the things and people, not God. Like the young rich ruler, can you give all you have up and follow Jesus, let be real, if Jesus stripped us of everything, not just a thing left all at once, we would have a nervous breakdown. Proverbs 28:20, a faithful man shall abound with blessings; but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent. We are not as innocent as we think. Jeremiah 19:4, because they have forsaken me and have estranged this place, and have burned incense in it unto other gods, whom neither they nor their fathers have known, nor the kings of Judah, and have filled this place with the blood of innocents.

Enemies come together when there is a plot against righteousness. They wanted to do away with Jesus. Some of us if we will be real, comes to church on Sundays and Wednesday and can’t wait to get out of service. Let’s be real, our main goal and intent was to get here, hurry through service so we can fellowship with our favorite person after church. Some of us do not directly lay hands on Jesus, and some of us Jesus have nothing to do with either, we just think he does. Peter said he knew who Jesus was, but denied him three times. Jesus brought their sin to them, so they wanted him done away with. It’s the same in the church of today, when the sin of the people is touched on they want to put the Pastor out of the church. Some of us will live in denial the rest of our lives because we want be real. Some of us like Pilate is playing the role, throwing the ball, but hiding their hands, but the blood will be required at your hands. Proverbs 16:6 talks about you. Realize you are not getting by. If you died today, are you ready to go with Christ?

I Timothy 4:6, if thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained. We are not ready yet. God call those that are ready and too many of us, God’s called, elected, and appointed people that say we love him is not ready. Let’s be real, we want heaven but we are not ready to go. Revelation 3:2 says, be watchful, and strengthen the things, which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore, thou shalt not watch. I will come on thee as thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. We have to know that if we believe God to be God, then serve him.
