I've had days of hope
Dark and dismal
Days of despair
You knew - you were there

My body betrayed me
But my heart and soul
Were alive with wonder
You knew - you were there

I saw the people
As they wondered
What my purpose was
You knew - you were there

I've seen the pain on your face
I've seen the joy in your eyes
As you watched over me
I know - I was there

You struggle now
As my body is gone
You think you don't see me
Look for me - I am there

I am but a heartbeat away
I am all the good you are
And will ever be
Look for me - I am there

When you are quiet
Contemplating life
Wondering where to go
Look for me - I am there

Remember me with love and laughter
Know my purpose is far greater now
Look for me - I am always there
