Grief

I’m finally going home my friends,
So don’t shed many tears for me.
Heaven is the most glorious place,
Anyone could hope to be.

I’m not suffering, or in pain now.
My heart is as good as it could be.
My eyes are no longer dim,
In fact, I wish you could see what I see!

I know you’ll miss me,
And I know tears, you’ll shed a few,
But please don’t dwell on my departure,
Any longer than you have to.

For my blessed Lord, took my hand,
And brought me to this place.
One can only imagine,
It’s beauty and it’s grace.

I’ve left many friends & family,
Whose hearts I know will ache.
But please do me this favor,
For Jesus’ sake.

Love Him, praise Him,
Believe in Him with all your heart.
Whatever you do in life,
Make Jesus a major part.

And someday when His Will,
Calls you home and only then.
We’ll be reunited,
And I’ll see you all again.

So shout it to the skies,
By any means known,
I’m so happy that my Lord has called me,
And I’m finally going home!
