Written 9-19-05

With unraveling heart, I seek Your grace;
In Your throne room, I implore;
More than Your plan, I desire Your face;
Your presence I’m wanting more.

My soul, with dry-rot, I call for Your aid;
For I’m called by Your mighty name;
My privilege to seek, for Your Son paid;
My salvation is His, as is His fame.

Where can I go, if not to You?
Like ancient star, I would implode;
You’re my desire, for You are true;
Let me rest in Your great abode.

You seem so silent, it breaks my heart;
A plant am I, without the sun;
You hold me off; I fear You’ll depart;
A state to be, worse than undone.

Hear me, Father, Your child cries,
My hands have been kept clean;
Hear me, Lord, for You’re my prize;
My state’s so very mean.

Thus, I wait, for my soul’s Light,
I have no where to go;
My weakness waits for my God’s might;
Protection from my foe.

Somehow I know, that You will hear,
Answer my hard and stricken state;
You test me, Father, to bring me near,
So praise awaits, for You are great!
