Nourish me, Lord, and give strength to my heart;
in Your virtues let my courage take root;
in Your fountain of grace let my thirst
be quenched. From endless fear I return
to Your serenely reposed confidence.
Though amid darkness, my soul can discern
light that shows me the way to receive You.
Your peace, told in silence, in untold songs,
smiles to me with the joy of Your love.
Your truth, as often as I profess it,
reassures in me greater fortitude,
like mountain at rest, yet always ascending.
I rejoice in God for He has given
me courage and strength to temper it.
