O' humbleness help me keep my feet on the ground
so if I do fall I'll know how to get up
No head up in the clouds, not walking with pride
but keep letting God fill my cup

Let me act as if I don't own or have anything
but appreciate what he gives to me
Not boasting proud, thinking I'm more than I am
but be thankful that He made me free

The shallow heart will keep crying for mercy
and some more grace be added too
And then just let God, prove every work
for all his judgements will be true

For the contrite spirit will seek his face
and will lay it on his table
And let him do the filling when the soul is weak
for only he is truly able

I'd pray to stay sweet by eating of his meat
so that it can enjoy each day
Regardless how rough it gets don't let it forget
that he is still the way

Now at the end of the trail a prize awaits
after the heart had render it's due
So can't help but rejoice of him filling it' need
for without him it was hard to do

It knew God desire honesty above anything else
any other sacrifice it won't do
And it does come with a price, called humility
for the heart to truly say I love you
