You know everytime I read Job I always find myself blown away. I mean Job
had everything you could want in life: good family, a good job that was
bringing home some insane money, had lots of land... I think we can all say
that he really did have the "good life"! But Job was tested by God and
everything that made that "good life" of his was taken from him and he was
left with scars and boils all across his body... but the thing that hits me
is that no matter what happened Job would not curse his God! How crazy is
that? In the world we live in today we can't help but to complain about
everything that seems to be wrong with us. And we always seem to get so mad
at God and right away we start to turn away but Job wouldn't. He understood
something that some of us struggle with and that is that none of this wordly
stuff we have really matters, the only thing that matters is our God in
heaven who loves us all so much! Another thing that usually hits me when
I'm reading Job is that sometimes when we go through a rough time we are
usually given lots of advice from friends or whoever it may be and sometimes
we listen and slowly start to ignore Gods calling and his love. I
understand that their advice is well meant but is it the road God wants you
to take? Think about it! You're in that valley for a reason, God wants to
show you something new... but you just have to listen and wait for Him!! To
jump out into the problem and try to tackle the darkness yourself is
pointless and useless! When you got saved it wasn't just a free ticket, it
was so so much more than that! Chirst has taken the weight on your
shoulders & has given you joy instead!! So give up the problem that faces
you & let the God who created the heavens and the earth take control of it.
Remember that when we are weak, HE is STRONG!!
