GOD HAD A PLAN

Brutalized from head to toe
Not a finger raised against His foe,
Those that were there did not understand
He held our sins in the palm of His hands


It would have been easier to just walk away
But He had other plans on that dark dismal day,
He looked at the masses that cried for His blood
Then love overwhelmed Him, just like the great flood


His blood they would get
But, not as they thought,
Instead of His death
Their salvation it bought


His love is so deep
We cannot fathom,
His cross a bridge
Across the great chasm


He came from heaven
To earth with a plan,
A way into Heaven
For every man


It’s not automatic
We must do our part,
We must accept Jesus
Into our heart!
