When You Were A Baby

When you were a baby in mommy’s belly, Mommy would rock in the rocking chair and rub her big belly as she sang. Mommy couldn’t wait to hold you in her arms. Sometimes Daddy would talk to mommy’s belly. He couldn’t wait to hold you too.

One day it was time to go to the hospital, and the doctor took you out of mommy’s belly. Daddy and mommy were so happy to see you! You had such little hands and feet. Grandmas and Grandpas and lots of friends came to see you in the hospital. They brought lots of toys and tiny clothes for you!

When you were a baby you loved to cuddle in mommy’s arms at night in the rocking chair. Mommy rocked and sang lots of songs until you fell asleep. Then mommy would tiptoe to your room to lay you in your crib. Sometimes you’d wake up and mommy would sit in the rocking chair again and sing until you fell asleep. Some people said Mommy was spoiling you, but Mommy’s just smiled and said, “You can’t love your baby too much!”

When you were a baby mommy was always taking pictures of you. She took pictures of you crying, laughing, when you were sleeping, and even when you were messy!

Mommy said they were all precious moments. “You’re getting so big!” She’d say when she looked at your pictures.

When you were a baby, Daddy liked to feed you with a bottle when he got home from work. He would make funny faces at you. You made funny faces too, and daddy would laugh and kiss you on the head. Daddy always made sure Mommy put the “I Love Daddy” bib on you when it was time eat..

When you were a baby, you loved to take baths. You liked to eat the bubbles and splash as hard as you could. Sometimes you got Mommy all wet. Mommy didn’t mind though, she loved to see you smiling and having fun.

When you were a baby, you loved to ride in your stroller. You laughed and smiled a lot when Mommy and Daddy took you outside. You would point to the kitty and the birds and the trees. Mommy would say whatever you pointed at. That’s how you learned to talk so good!

When you were a baby sometimes mommy would smile sadly and say, “You’re growing up, baby!” Then Mommy would hug you real tight and say, “You will always be my baby no matter how big you get!”
