Lord let my heart be filled with understanding
help me to keep your peace within
Guard my mind from certain things all around
forever let joy and grace descend

Lord put a watch around this soul of mine
keep it fresh like an open flower
So that your sweet aroma will come through
for me to use every hour

Water down on me more of your mercy
pour more love into my heart
Let it shower down from your heavenly throne
please don't ever let it depart

Lord sprinkle all over me your anointing oil
let your arms be my shield
Just keep me under your clouds of joy
so that I can always yield

To all the goodness that you send by
and whenever it falls on me
Which it does happen in so many of ways
because you said I belong to thee
