The Lord Is A Teenagers' Shepherd

Lord, I'm a teenager. My parents are confusing. My friends are convincing. My life is collapsing all around me. What's up Lord?

I am the Lord. You are a sinner. Let me be the Lord of your life. I will lead you through the valley of confusion and despair to the paths of happiness and joy. Just follow Me. My yoke is easy. My burden light.

Lord, I need food, nice clothes, a good looking car, friends, good look! Why don't I have them?

You need not concern yourself with what you will eat, what clothes you will wear. Everyday your cup overflows with blessings. I protect you and feed you in the presence of those who hate you. And they can't touch you. I shower you with rain, warm you with the sun, help breathe fresh air. I anoint your society and your person with healing medicines. I'm with you everyday. Believe in and trust only Me. I'll get you through any difficulties you have.

Lord, I'm tired of waking up to problems everyday.

So you want Me to lead you to green and well-watered pastures. I do so but you don't want to go. You want to control your life. You want to do your own thing. I gave you Ten Commandments, not Ten Suggestions. You act as though I'm not even here. Everything depends upon what YOU want to do.

Lord, why can't life depend on me? Did you give me freedom?

Yes, I gave you freedom and free will because I love you. However, you are not the way, the truth and the life. I am. Remember, I will lead you to waters of everlasting life. I know the way. Do you want to follow Me? I am the "Good Shepherd" who will protect you along the way as promised

Lord, how much longer can I stand this life? People are cruel! I can't stay chase! I gotta have friends! Some days I just wanna end it all!

When you experience tough times, just call My Name. I'll be there. I've known taunts, torture and death. Because I've been there. I understand but I also know the way. When you follow Me you'll come to the mansion My Father has prepared for you. If it was not so, I could not tell you this.

Lord, how can You be so good to me? I've denied You. I've sinned with my mind and body. I don't feel very good. My mind is filled with shame and fear.

Fear not! I am full of goodness, unconditional love, mercy, compassion, hope and forgiveness. Take up your cross! Come! Come follow Me! When you follow Me I will bind your woundedness and you will be healed. Let me handle everything about your life and you will be made anew. Live for today! There may not be a tomorrow for you. You may be one of the 6,108 people who will not see another day. For this is the number of people called to eternity from American each day. Few of these will know eternal life because they rejected Me as their Shepherd!
