Why do you transgress in your tradition?
God said to honor your mother and father;
Talking evil of them you risk termination,
If you are not giving them respect either.

They have brought you into this world,
Nurturing you up ever since your birth;
While growing a plan from God is unfurled,
Showing the potential of your true worth.

If someone says unto his father and mother,
Just what you would have really gained;
From Christ instead of through another,
Forgetting what your parents had trained.

Then there is no need to give such respect,
For tradition sake the Word of God is void;
Because the Holy Scriptures have no effect,
What you have been taught but not enjoyed.

You are as phony as in the Isaiah prophecy,
The honor from the lips is not of the heart;
As their worship is show for others to see,
And what you profess unto others to impart.
