“Centering God”

“… I am in my Father and you are in me, just as I am in you” (John 14:20).


A child looks to his parents for love and protection; he naturally sees mom and dad as the center of his world. In the same way, parents regard their family, especially their children, as the main purpose for their life. And newly weds, nothing seems more important to them than the one they’ve just committed their life to through sickness and health. And though all these relationships and feelings are completely natural and understanding for us to have, let us not forget one other who deserves to be at the center of all relationships. God. For he reminds us,” You shall have no other gods before me” (Deuteronomy 5:7). Because unlike all those other relationships which may come and go, and be replace or damaged forever, your relationship with God will never tarnish and he will never abandon you. The love of people often increases with performance and decreases with mistakes. Not so with God's love. He loves you right where you are. Place God at the center of your life and witness all other aspects and relationships in your life grow into magnificence.
