I come into Tabernacle,
Garbed in holy dress;
I enter with fear, trembling,
Enter in with ignorance.

He beckons me to come in,
Beyond the fearsome holy veil;
He beckons me, so I come in;
Worship the One we all should hail.

What does He see within me,
Within my own heart?
Why does He visit me,
Ask me not to depart?

Why does He not shun me?
I have nothing to bring.
Will He strike me at first glance,
Will He cut me off?

So I pull back the veil,
I see the Golden Ark;
I kneel before the Holy One,
I worship within the dark.

I see the two cherubim,
Looking down on Holy Blood;
The Precious Blood of His Son,
The One for which I am won.

What does He see in me,
And not turn away?
Why does He listen now,
And not pull away?

Why does He not shun me?
I have nothing I should bring.
To holy Eyes so divine,
Yet I hear angels sing.

I feel His gaze upon my heart,
I see His full glory;
I wait for my judgement,
Waiting and so sorry.

He looks upon me through the blood,
He calls out my own name;
He says, "I always think of you,
With my precious holy plans."

I see you as My Son,
You're here for My glory;
I love you as My Son,
In Me there is no worry"

Now I see as He sees me,
I'll not turn away;
Now I know He's listening,
His nature does not sway!

He sees me as His own Son,
He'll never cast me off;
When do I see Him again;
In truth with sin cast off.

I will see as He sees me,
In holy light array;
I will see the Holy One
The Ancient of all Days!
