The Adventures of Kit and Kat:
Chapter 3
Kat's visit to the new Vet.

Well the big day finally
is here, thought Kit as she
got up that morning.Momma was
taken her and kit,to Kit's first visit with
the new vet. Old Mr.Sandburn had retired,
Momma said due to poor health,
and this new vet was taking over
for him.The new vet had moved here
from New York City 2 months
ago...His name was Jacob kipper.
Momma said that she had been
told he is very nice young
man,in his late 20's-
early 30's,unmarried,
and a excellent vet.

Momma had told kit many
times not to worry,
the new vet would be great
with Kat. Still Kit was alittle
nervous,for old Mr.Sandburn had
been like a grandfather to her.
Now Mr.Sandburn lived with
his son in Portland,Maine..several hours
away from where kit lived.She missed him,
but he said she could write to him.
So she had put a letter in the
mail 3 days ago to Mr.Sandburn.
He also said to let him
know how kat's visit goes
with the new vet. Mr.Sandburn
knew the new vet well.
He even told kit..Don't you worry honey,
Mr.Jacob Kipper is a good
man, and a excellent vet.
And I am sure that Kat will like him.
Well,thought Kit, I hope Mr.Sandburn
is right about the new vet.

So kit gets up,gets dressed,
and goes downstairs
for breakfast. Good Morning
honey, Momma and grandmother
both say, Already for your breakfast?
Yes Momma, replies Kit looking
around for kat. Where is
Kat? Why she right over there,
having a drink of water.
grandmother replied. Kit turns her head,
and sees kat there,and calls her
to her. Kat comes to
kit, and rubs her head
against Kit's hand, purring.
Hi Kat, ready to go for a
ride? Kit saids to Kat.
Kat just purrs louder. Kat loves to
go for rides in the car.

Well Momma saids,we will be going in
20 minutes now Kit. You got
Kat's leash and travel
box ready? Momma asks...Yes,
Momma they already in
the livingroom, repiles kit as
she finished her breakfast.
Ok, let me go call the vet
to make sure of the time,
and then we will be going,Momma saids.

Honey,Kat going to be fine..Don't
look so serious.You don't
want to make Kat nervous too,
do you? asked grandmother.
Oh sorry,no grandmother I don't
want to make kat nervous.
replied Kit. It just that I am
nervous about meeting the
new vet,not kat..And I am not sure
why; just seem like the new vet
is going to be very important,
for some reason...I do
not understand now, replied Kit.

Well if God beginning to show
you something about the
new vet, He will reveal it in due time.
Just let God work it out Kit,
grandmother saids. For some time now
God has been showing Kit certain
things in visions or dreams,
or giving her "thoughts"...about
some people and places.
I will Grandmother...replied Kit.

Ok already to go now?.. asks
Momma as she comes to the
kitchen...then lets be going. Kit
goes to put the leash on Kat.
Kat walks willing and happily
on a leash that Kit had
taught her to do..Mother,we be
back as soon as we can
said Momma to grandmother..
Yes dear I know, I am
going to visit with Mrs.Briggs
across the street for
awhile..replied Grandmother
as Momma, kit and
Kat went out the door to the car.

Ok, seat belt on, good, lets go.
Momma saids as she back up
into the road. It just took
10 minutes to get to the vet.
Momma parks the car. Here
we are,Momma saids as she
gets out of the car..Kit takes
her time getting out of the
car with Kat on her leash.
Kit,honey come on, its going to
be ust fine.Momma saids
as she takes Kit's hand,
and they walk to
the new vet's office.

They are in the office
waiting room now..there are two
other people there too,
with their pets in carriers.
Good morning Mrs.Werner,
nice to see you again,
said Molly the vet's assistant.
Molly had been old
Mr.Sandburn assistant too.
Hello,Molly,Momma replied.
And how are you Kit and
kat,asked Molly.
We are ok,
I guess, Kit replied..
The doctor will see you in a
few minutes, please have
a seat, Molly saids.
So momma and Kit sit down with Kat
on the leash, just looking around,
being good as always.

Well child,the lady sitting next
to Momma saids, how
you ever get your lovely cat
to go on the leash so well?
Kit replies,I just taught her.
And she is smart anyways,
and she took right to it.
That is wonderful replies
the lady sitting next to Momma..
I am Mrs. Kemper and
this is my cat Charles,and
Charles is here for his medicine.

Oh sorry,is he sick? asked Kit..
Yes,dear he is very sick.
New vet trying to save him..
but..well,we just don't
know if it will work or not.
replied Mrs.Kemper.

I am sorry to hear that your dear cat is so sick
Mrs.Kemper, Momma saids.
Kit then saids to Mrs.kemper,
Can I pray for your cat right now?
Mrs.Kemper doesn't say
anything for a moment, then
she replies, yes you can
Kit, can't hurt nothing,
might even help.
So Kit comes over to Mrs.Kemper
and her cat in her carrier,and puts
her hand on the carrier,
and saids..Dear Jesus come
and heal Mrs.Kemper's cat,
for I know You love all Your
creatures. Dear Jesus make Charles
well and whole again, so
Mrs.Kemper will still have
her best friend for many
more years with her..and
that Mrs.Kemper will come
to know that You Jesus love her and charles.
In Jesus Name I pray..and I thank
You Lord for answering this
pray. Amen

Kit then looks up,and
sees that Mrs.kemper
has tears running down her
cheeks,and saids softly to
Kit.. Oh honey that was
one of the most beautiful
prayers I ever heard.Thank you
so much for praying. saids
Mrs.Kemmper as she gives
Kit a hug...Momma then saids
to Mrs,Kemper..We just put Charles in
God's Hands, and He
will do what He knows is best.

Mrs.Kemper and Charles,
Molly saids,you're next...
Charles is having a special
type of X-ray today too,
to see how big the
tumor is,and if it has moved..
Mrs.Kemper saids as she
gets up and goes with
Molly to see the vet.

Momma,I feel better now after
talking and praying for
Mrs.Kemper and Charles.
Kit saids.. That is wonderful
Kit Momma saids. So Momma is
looking thru some magazines,
and kit and kat are just
waiting to see the new vet.

25 minutes go by,and Mrs.Kemper
comes out to the waiting room with
Charles smiling big,...Oh,kit and
Mrs.Werner, Mrs.kemper saids
excitedly...the tumor is gone!
itsgone! The vet could not find it anywhere!
No traces of cancer anywhere in
Charles's body now! Oh praise,
praise God! Mrs.kemper saids...
I just never knew that God really
cared about me and Charles this much!
Mrs.Kemper then saids.
Momma saids to Mrs.Kemper,Would
you like to invite Jesus into your heart today ?
Oh, yes I would..I believe,I believe now! Mrs.Kemper
said while tears run down her face.
So Momma takes her over and sits her
down,and they pray together,and Mrs.Kemper
receives Jesus as her Lord and Savoir right
there in the vet's office.

I want to see this young girl who
prayed for Mrs.Kemper's cat,
said the new vet as he walks
into the waiting room,
looking around...

Faith, Faith Werner!
What are you doing here?
Where is Joshua?
said the new vet to Momma...

Momma looks up,amd could not
believe her eyes, for there
in front of her stands her
deceased husband's best friend whom
she has not seen in almost 12 yrs!

Asa is that really you?
Why have you changed your name?
Oh its so good to see you again!
Momma saids as she gets up and
walks to the new vet. Last time Momma saw
Asa was when she was 3 months pregnant with Kit.
Where did you go?
Why did you leave so suddenly?
Momma asked Asa.

Its a long story Faith,and its
good to see you again. Is
this your daughter? saids Asa..
Yes this is my daughter Kit...
Kit this is Asa your
Daddy's best friend, Momma saids.

Where is Joshua?" Asa asked Momma...
Oh, you don't know?
saids Momma shocked...
Before Momma could answer, Kit
saids to Asa, My daddy in Heaven now
with Jesus,and He is happy
there, and not in anymore pain.

Asa takes a step back,at looks down
at Kit not knowing what to say...
I am so sorry to hear that Faith, Kit....
No, Faith I didn't know...I am so sorry
I left so suddenly after we had a
disagreement. I just,..
Asa takes out a handkerchef
to wipe his eyes...
I am so sorry Faith....Asa saids...

Its alright Asa, please come
over after office hours for a
longer chat with us..You know
where we live..remember?
Momma saids to Asa...
Yes Faith I do remember..Asa saids

Well now Asa saids putting away his
handkerchef, Where's this fine cat called
Kat I want to meet? Asa saids.

Kit smiling saids,She right here,
Mr.Asa, and she purring,
can you hear her? Asa looks
down and sees Kat, and
gently picks her up,and Kat
gives him a rub with her
head...Well, well,what a sweetie you are!
Just like your owner
Kit..Asa saids patting Kat.

Well lets go have your check-up
Kat, then later I'll will come and visit
you all...and we will have a nice
long chat, Asa saids smiling...
Oh great! and I can tell you all
about how God sent Kat
to me,too! Kit saids happily.
Asa then replies to Kit...
I am sure that will be a
very interesting story to hear
about how God sent you Kat.

Momma is just amazed to see
Asa again after so long...
But why did he change his name?
And where could this all lead?
Momma wonders as she goes with Kit
and Kat,as Asa does Kat's check-up....
