Prayer Of Submission


O Lord, My God, I do not have the right
to come before You for anything.
Lord, You have called me to do a work in Your Most Holy Name.
Whatever it is that You have called me to do,
Lord, I will do it.
Lord, the world out there is head strong,
Stubborn and wants to do what it wants.
How can I do Your will?
Give your servant, therefore, an understanding heart and ability to judge
In accordance to Your will not mine or the world’s
Help me to distinguish between right and wrong, good and evil,
For I am unable to do so without You in me and with me.
I do not ask for special favors, good looks, or anything that would
Be a distraction from you.
Grant me fearlessness, patience, pray-filled tongue, a merciful heart,
A compassionate spirit, and forgiving mind
As I do Your will. Your Name be praised! Amen!
