Encouragement

God had me all surrounded-
when the enemy did try to get through
God's arms spread out to cover and shield
oh what his power can do

He sent angels to camp all around me
to help and keep me in his will
When the enemy came in just like a flood
he made me calm and still

O' what strength he renders when needed-
he overshadows me with grace
In whatever the hour he sends more power
to endure what I have to face

That's why he said that his grace is sufficient
and I took what the word did say
For he meant every one that he spoke to me
and I can use them for each day

Not a second goes by that he doesn't know
he was even there while I slept
And when I awoke in the break of dawn
his promise, still he, had kept

When we have done all that we can do
and our bodies are all spent out
Just reach up to him and cry from within
he'll reverse it, without a doubt

So why should you and I grow weary
when we are in his care
And all we have to do is rest in him
for he always deals just and fair
