The creed we live by is set in stone,
The Lord established it
A long time ago.
He wanted us to see that
We need Him still.
That apart from Him
We could never drink our fill.
The creed left to us He did impart
So that we could see our impure heart.

The Creator, from the beginning of time
Has made a perfect Way,
That all mankind might repent and be saved.
For thousands of years the prophets
Have spoken God's Word
To rebellious children
Whose hearts are unwilling
To hear His call;
Whose hearts are bent on following
The wide and oft trodden road
That leads to the destruction
Of many a soul.

Moses was saved by God,
It was part of His plan,
To free His people from a foreign land.
A land of suffering and death,
Striving and working til their final breath;
Making the bricks that built
Awesome monuments
Which baffle the minds of modern man.

Moses left for the heights of Sinai one day
To receive tablets hewn from stone.
He went alone due to the Hebrews' fright,
From God's majestic voice
They hid from His sight.
God wrote these Words,
His Commandments known,
To guide the Hebrew people
And called them His own.
His Commandments like a mirror
Reflecting our soul,
Leading us to Him and making us whole.

His love for us is set in stone,
It says in His Word
That we will never be alone.
Anyone that seeks His face, He will not despise,
He is God the Father
And He would never tell us lies.
Words to live by and embrace for all our days,
Written on our hearts forever
And always.
