When that love one did walk out,
I, alone did survive;
When friends did turn their backs on me
I, did survive;
When I did not have a job,
somehow I did survive;
When doors were shut in my face,
I alone did survive;
When the doctors gave me up to live,
I came out and did survive;
After losing a limb, and going back to work,
I did manage to survive;
When I was forsaken and left out,
I forgave and did survive;
When talked about, and even lied on,
something made me to survive;
When I was alone in the winters cold
I did learn to survive;
In the hottest summers with just one fan,
I again did survive;
When I could not even pay one bill,
I, did survive;
When other love ones had fail me,
I was given faith to survive;

When I didn't have a car to drive,
I did survive;
So many other things that I went through
but somehow I did survive;
So all I can say, is this one thing,
that I am still alive,
Thank God for a Savior that did come by
and softly said to me, not to cry
He said I'll be that friend unto the end
and all your needs, I will gladly send
Know all your suffering, I bore them for you
and whatever was bad, I made them new
And although your life was filled with pain
just take a look, in what you have gain
Eternal life which I gave to you
and this is what true love will do
So go on and live I paid the pride
and whatever I've said, I can say it twice
For I'm not a man, that I shall lie
others may, but, not I
Now I forgot to put a cap on this;
I couldn't do anything without his love
For it gave me a heart to forgive
that will fit just like a glove
I'm no longer a survivor, but a conqueror;
I have real love for my sisters and brothers
Though it was hard to forgive and get pass the pains
but he went further and gave me love for others
And I count it all joy to have met the Lord
and I would not change one thing
But will give him thanks for another chance
to reap the good that life can bring
You see real true love can make a difference
in this life that can be cold and mean
So who best to know in what it will take
for that soul, who need to be, redeemed
