Whenever the waters get rough and troubled
it can mean something is on it's way
For after being tried we shall come forth
so lets go on and claim our day

For the troubles can bring us blessings
they laid, the stones at our feet
And with each step we should raise our hands
and delete that word defeat

Lets pick up our hearts and jump for joy
and then sing a brand new song
For deliverance is near more than we think
and know that it won't be long

Don't think it strange when the waters rise
think of them as being a rope
It will help to get us, through that test
for it pushed us to our hope

The Lord never not once did leave us
he was in there with me and you
Always carring us in his loving arms
helping us to get through

I know sometimes it make us wonder
how long will this go on
But that is why we have the word of God
when our victory seems so long

We may be going through the deep waters
but God said they won't over-flow
And in a little while there will come a rest
for God's power he will show

So lets take a big breath and then let it out
for what God promise will come to pass
And stay on the ship and ride it through
that is all our God does ask
