God gave us His greatest gift, which is Love (God is Love, so He gave Himself to us). Because of the nature of Love, this gift is free to all, whether we believe in God or not. God also gave us the gift of knowledge, so that we could learn all things and distinguish between good and evil.

So when we preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, no one will see the need for Him if we preach that He will bring them Love and great knowledge.

The need for Jesus Christ comes from the need for God’s next gift to the world. This gift is not free to all, because there is a price for this gift and the price was paid by the Lamb of God.

This gift is the gift of Forgiveness.

There is nothing in existence that can bring this gift, except Jesus Christ. So any religion (belief) that does not teach that Jesus Christ is Lord and is the Son of God, will be denied this gift, the gift that can only come by “being in Christ” and by “Christ being in you”. It will not matter how much Love, knowledge, good works, or even self denial that you have. We are all sinners and ever sinner needs Forgiveness.

This is the Light that we hide under our baskets. (John 1 and Mark 4) We hide Jesus Christ in our hearts, yet we do not preach His Truth (God’s Wisdom) to the world.

But first we must preach the importance of the gift of Forgiveness. Because we are all sinners, we cannot have life without this gift. We will remain dead in our sins, in our guilt, in our fears, and for some, in our hatred of good things.

The best illustration of this is to think of something terrible you have done in your life. Then most likely you have been punished for this ( or will be sometime). So your sin is forgiven and you move on. But the problem comes in that it is not forgotten completely by you or others and you now have a label that you carry with you. You will probably not trust yourself and others probably will not trust you either.

Sometimes we try to forget this terrible thing, but then we do it again, or we do something else terrible. This pattern becomes a part of our life and we cannot escape from it, no matter how hard we try.

Then we have two roads to choose from: the path of sinning and not feeling bad about it anymore (a hardness of our hearts , turning our hearts to stone) or the path of sinning and feeling so guilty that we cannot Love or face ourselves or anyone else anymore.

If we turn our hearts to stone then we automatically reject God’s gifts of Love and Wisdom.

If we turn our hearts to guilt, then we may crave God’s gifts of Love and Wisdom, but will feel unworthy to have such great gifts, and so we will build barriers between ourselves and God and other people. (We may go into hiding or we may try and do good works to compensate for our sins).

Hardening our hearts makes us sin even more and stops us from Loving God and ourselves and others. We then look for others like us that have rejected Love, so that we have a family that we fit in with.

Hiding or trying to compensate for our sins, still never makes the knowledge of the sin go completely away. A Loving person can never hide from the shame of their sins and no amount of works can pay for their sins.

The gift that Jesus Christ brings is the true Forgiveness of sins. Where the sins will not only be forgiven, but they will be remembered no more. (Jeremiah 31 and Hebrews 8)

Pain, suffering, not forgiving ourselves or others, hatred, jealousy, guilt................
There is no place for these in the Kingdom of God. And without true Forgiveness, it would be impossible to rid ourselves of these things.

Our sins must be forgotten to truly be Forgiven. And there is no way for them to truly be forgotten, except by the cleansing in the Blood of the Lamb of God.

There is no way to feel and understand this cleansing until you know and Love Christ Jesus.

So do not keep this Wisdom from the world, a world that so desperately needs it.

The works that God requires of us, is to preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. This gospel teaches all about Forgiveness and learning how to use His gifts of Love and Joy so that they reach their greatest potential.

We cannot effectively preach this gospel if we have not moved on beyond His True Forgiveness and into His Love and Joy that will then abound in us because we have been made new. If we cannot move beyond forgiveness, then life will not be worth living, even for those who have moved on. It is very frustrating living around unhappy or unloving people that could be Joyful once their sins are not only forgiven but also be forgotten.They can have a new start in Christ Jesus.

John 1:6There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. 8He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world. 10He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. 12But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.


Mark 4:21Also He said to them, "Is a lamp brought to be put under a basket or under a bed? Is it not to be set on a lampstand? 22For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light. 23If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear." 24Then He said to them, "Take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given. 25For whoever has, to him more will be given; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him."

Jeremiah 31:34No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, "Know the LORD,' for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more."

Hebrews 8:10For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 11None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, "Know the LORD,' for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them. 12For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more."
