May I have a heart that is full
Of God's all-forgiving grace,
For my fellow man,
For all the human race.
A heart that keeps no mementos of past wrongs,
That does not repay in kind
With hostility or wrath.
Grant me forgiveness in my heart
For all who cross my path.

Help me with lots love and prayer
A beacon, Lord to be,
An ambassador of peace and light
To all of those I meet.

Be my strength, O Lord, I pray,
Don't let my faith be slim,
That the light inside this "tent" of mine
Would be strong, and never dim.

The sweetest of the sweet
Comes from my daily communion, Lord,
With You,
Walking in forgiveness
In all I say and do.
