God, the Match Maker?

Genesis 2:22 “..He brought her to the man.”

In most weddings, the lovely bride will slowly and gracefully walk down the isle toward the groom. The atmosphere is charged with expectation and romance. Tears, candles, and music are all flowing. The minister firmly asks, “Who gives this bride to be?” The father of the bride will pull his shoulders back and proudly proclaim, “Her mother and I.” Then the father will present his daughter to the groom.

Wouldn’t you have loved to have been a fly on the wall when God brought Eve down the isle to Adam? Other than the naked part of course! You talk about a proud Father. There were VIP’s, Jesus and the Holy Spirit of course, and angels, and the entire animal kingdom in attendance! Well, maybe not serpents! Lady Diana and Prince Charles had nothing on this one. The Bible declares, God is the same yesterday, today and forever. The only problem is, God is still looking today for some qualified men who are worthy of His daughters! If Deacons and Overseers have qualifications, how much more do son in laws to the KING! See, God brought Eve to Adam, Rebekah to Isaac, Ruth to Boaz, and Esther to King Ahasuerus and on and on! See God’s chaperones His daughters to the dance! If you don’t meet the prerequisite, you dance solo.

I meet so many college and corporate career minded men in they’re 20’s and 30’s who tell me….why is it so tuff to meet Miss RIGHT! My reply is always, “Well maybe your Mr. Wrong, and don’t even know it? Don’t let yourself off so easy!! God isn’t going to bring her to the dance if your garment is stained with sin!!

· Yes you’re a virgin, but is your heart still? If a man lust in his heart, he has already committed adultery.
· How is your thought life? Whatever a man thinks, so is he!
· What are your private conversations about? Out of the mouth speaks the abundance of the heart.
· Yes you go to church, and even serve on the leadership team. But how is your closet time and secret time with God? Do you really know Him?
· But I’m only human! Jesus said, live in the Spirit, and you won’t gratify the desires of the flesh!
· I can’t help that TV, Internet, and magazines at the store pull me into wrong thoughts. For every temptation, God makes a way of escape! You must look for the door!

Ever heard the saying, “Forbidden fruit always produces a JAM.” If your feeling God’s loving paddle, rejoice. He spanks those He loves. He wants the very best for you. Here’s the 1,2,3…1. If we confess our sin, He is faithful and just to forgive us the bible say’s. Give God the details privately. 2. Then get accountable with a trusted friend openly. It’s amazing the freedom that happens when we confess our sin to each other. 3. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. A dusty bible leads to a dirty life, so get back in the game. Then maybe the dance isn’t so far off!
