As I sit where I am
Watching the world
Disappear under sheets of white
My heart beats
Ever louder.
Through this windsheild
I see the light breakthrough
And in my minds eye
I am warmed by thoughts of you.
We two are made whole,
By love’s understanding
Though the worlds cold winds blow
We remain standing
I long for you at these solitude times
Yet my heart beats louder
As the memories chime
Each day a new step
Each day a new growth
Each day renewed love
A remembrance,
An oath.
My love, my love
I am undone
As I sit and watch the world
Fading
Under sheets if white
Thoughts of you,
I am undone
By your love
Your breakthrough light.
