You know you are old if you can remember when all the girls had
ugly gym uniforms or when a quarter was a decent allowance or
when your Mom wore nylons that came in two pieces.

You remember the book of Habakkuk, don't you? I'm sure you
read it regularly in your devotions. Surely you can relate to chap.
3, verse 18 (niv), "I will rejoice in the Lord. I will be joyful in God
my Savior. The Sovereign Lord is my strength."

As I write this, we are having a dreary day in Florida -- one of
those days with an all-day rain (infrequent in our area) when it
would be easy to allow yourself to get blue and depressed. It's the
kind of day when you really need Habakkuk 3:18.

My guess is that we each have it better than Habakkuk did. So, if
he can say it, so should we --"Rejoice! -- the Lord is my strength."
I have no idea what you may be facing today, but scribble down the
words of Hab. 3:18 and put it in your pocket. Rx -- read and apply
as needed. God will meet you at your need!
