Where did all those years go
One after one....
If only I could bring them back
To change some things I've done

Where did all the people go
That were once in my life
I lost touch... With so many
Once I became a mother and wife

When I was in that place, in time
I didn't think to much of "Tomorrow"
I was so young and carefree....
No room for regret or sorrow

I didn't realize how time could slip
Past me so quick, before I knew
If memories were a drink, I'd slowly sip
Recalling times, both happy and blue

Like a good book...That you enjoyed
Sometimes, thinking back on the plot
Other choices I might have employed
Are useless...And good for naught

For I can't return and change things
I must move forward, continue on
And as sure Angels have wings
My moving forward...
Will be past and gone!

There is an undertone of bitterness that this poem doesn't really overcome, but truly, a sunset is what we see now... a sunset on the ocean tide.

Judith thank you for your compliments. Now let me give a compliment! This was a great poem. I'm sorry that you are going through so much right now. Just know that jesus loves you and will preserve your life. I loved the sunset part. Our lives are like a sunset! Painted to show the beauty and the rage that we hold inside. Each sunset is different. Some with clouds, some with more yellow, more pink, and more blue. Thats how each of us are. We are a sunrise when we are born and a sunset when we spend our last days on earth. I know your sunset will be beautiful. Something others can look at and go, wow!

Yes, Ma'am. Yesterday is gone and it passed like a flash. Some memories are good and some are bad. My mother's wise words to me several years ago: "You have memories of yesterday that you can't change. So, make up your mind to start today, making great memories that you're going to have tomorrow." Sounds good to me, though I must admit, it isn't always as easy to do it as it is to say it.

So, so, true! May I make every moment count of Jesus. May the sunset of my life be as glorious to Him and Him alone. Thanks so much for sharing this poem with the FW
