When you are dissatisfied with life and think you would like to go
back to your youth, think of Algebra -- that'll cure you!

A reader just sent a nice poem written by a wheelchair bound gal.
She is obviously an overcomer. I hope there are lots more
overcomers out there rather than overmoaners.

Our world has more than its share of folks in difficult physical
circumstances. Unfortunately, by assumed statistics, only a portion
know the joy of being able to "Take your burden to the Lord and
leave it there." Even among Christians, there are those who have
difficulty singing the last part of that song -- "leave it there."
Sometimes we like to nurse the nuisance in order to get sympathy.

There are two ways to deal with affliction -- learn to deal with it or
moan about it. One way brings joy and the other way foments
misery. It's like most other things in life -- grow or groan.

Romans 8:18, "what we suffer now is nothing compared to the
glory He will give us later." I realize that Paul was talking about a
different kind of suffering, but when we realize what awaits us, it
makes it easier to deal with the here and now.
