Thank You, Lord, for teaching me
I will always be in need of Thee
No matter how far, in You, I walk
I need You with me, around the clock

Regardless of how much I have learned
By temptation, I can always be spurned
If I try to stand against sin solo
without You I will be knocked low

For, O God, you are my strength
I will need You at any length
You showed me, I am very weak
and You I must always seek

I am humbled before You, Lord
for it is only you who can restore
me when to sin I fall prey
Protect me, Jesus, both night and day
