Sat night
1:30am
All is calm here in the wee hours of this great humanitarian institution known only as.....Community Hospital.
There is a 21yr old in the ER who came in absolutely wasted and proceeded to
vomit, then choke on his vomit and is now on a respirator in ICU.
Kinda makes me glad I was a lightweight in my younger days.
Please bare with my philisophical
meandering, there is not much to think about when all the rest of the normal
world is sleeping peacefully in there warm comfy beds, while i toil away, keeping
your sickly loved ones safe from..uuhh..terrorists who may infiltrate this great foundation of American Medicine and shove an M-80 down the toilet disrupting the
flow of butts, tampons, gum & marbles on there way to the great Sewage treatment
center in the sky.

The elevators did go down tonite and a poor, near retirement, nurse who failed to notice
the huge blinking neon "DO NOT ENTER" sign got trapped. We immediately dispatched
our very own elderly, near crippled Security Agent to pry the door open with his
twisted, arthritic hands and rescue the poor woman from certain boredom.

But alas, I will shortly make my way to the front door to maintain a a watchful eye upon the gates of this magnificent bastion of Medical wonder.
While of course, i'll have the other eye on the portable DVD hidden under the desk
watching the latest predictable Hollywood excrement. Celebrating the mundane
mediocrity of teens embracing the rebellion of their youth, while guffawing over
the High School geek getting a cavity search from the Jock Squad. Blaming all their folly, failures & lack of facial Symmetry & popularity on their brain-dead parental book ends known as "Mom & Dad".

Cynicism is not a gift my friends, it is a tattered blanket on a cold winters
night. The arrogant mans drug of choice, the cowards sword, the politicians
platform, the loveless preachers bony finger and the part-time, 3rd shift, security guards way
to kill 20 minutes.

Too sum up this twisted dissertation I must quote the Proverbs of the wisest man to walk the face of the earth;
"Even a Fool is considered wise when he keeps his mouth shut".
