I have come to nothing
Instinct drives me though
Determined hope batters my bruised soul
So many dreams clutter
The doorways of my life
They cut like shattered mirrors
The ambushed face of surprised failure
Stares grotesquely back at me
Fragmented shards reflect
Broken relationships & promises
Like thousands of tiny voices
Screaming jagged bloody notes

I stand on the precipice
Of all my tomorrows
The cold black eyes of fear mock me
No hope
No purpose
No vision
No plan
I squint at the stark white
Emptiness of a blank page
