bountiful Thanksgiving, more than turkey, more than pie
Is giving thanks for friendships and for family close by

It’s celebrating differences we all can grow to love
Discovering within our souls the grace of God above

Thanksgiving is the moment when you breathe an urgent prayer
And feel such gratitude inside, just knowing someone’s there

It’s watching laughter linger in the eyes of one that’s dear
The warm and fuzzy feeling when that special someone’s near

Thanksgiving is an attitude that should dwell in us all
Let thankfulness flow all year through, not only in the fall
