Stones, so easy to pick up
Even easier to throw
Some stones are tossed behind the back
By loved ones that you know

Other stones are saved and gathered
Ammunition, so to speak
Used by vengeful souls
Too proud to turn the other cheek

At times a stone must be dug up
Before it can be thrown
A shameful past reminder
Tossed about by Satan’s own

Gossip is a shiny stone
To precious not to share
Watch the wide eyes gleaming
As it takes flight in thin air

Stones are many sizes
Pebbles, boulders, and between
Some judge and throw accordingly
At every person seen

Is it a big sin, or a small sin?
I’ll surely find a stone that fits
I’m the self appointed judge
Who casts the stones, and never quits

Let he who remains sinless
Throw the stone he’s holding first
All of humankind is sin filled
Freed by Jesus from our curse

So before you pick your stone up
Taking aim at those around
Satan wishes first, to thank you
With your help, he’s gaining ground
