HE BECAME

He left all of his glory to become like me
To know weakness and temptation
Touched with every infirmity
He is my True Intercessor
He became

He gave up all his rights and authority from above
He came from pure light to darkness
To reveal his Kingdom of Love
He wasn't for me even ashamed to die
He became

He became sin
He became sickness
He became death - that's how He died
Not only did He take it on him
And have it placed all over him
He became the root and manifestation
Of all the sin of the whole world
Past, present and future
Yeah - He became

Now He wasn't guilty - not guilty at all
He did this for us so we could answer our call
He restored to us the right to the Tree of Life
He gave us the power to say no to wrong and yes to right
That's why He is given a name above every name
Because He became
