The solemn prayer it will be heard
in the middle of the night
Within the hours, the spirit did beckon
to ask to make things all right

The heart did lay before his face
with a prayer, honest and true
For him to mend, everything that's broken
and knew he can make it new

O' heart of mine, just listen,
let him tend to your request
Allow him to feel your yearnings
lay them all upon his breast

Let him become, your bed and pillow
let your tears reach his ears
Let him wash away all your sorrows
and to calm all your fears

Allow his peace, surround, your bedside
Let him quiet your spirit within
And then just rest, while you wait
to bring it all to an end

Now the solemn prayer, has been answered
so go on and praise his name
Dry up, your eyes, he did come by
and the prayer was not in-vain
