Happy Valentine's Day. I hope you get at least one Valentine card.
The worst one I ever got said, "Roses are red, violets are blue,
sugar is sweet -- so what."

Minister at a funeral service: "Friends, let us say goodbye to our
beloved, departed friend. Let us remember that here lies only the
shell -- the nut has gone."

The question remains, "But where has he gone?" That's a question
we all need to face -- where will we go when we are gone? If I
understand the Bible correctly, there are only two choices --
Heaven or Hell -- no other alternative is indicated. In fact, there is
actually only one choice -- Heaven. We need to make a deliberate
choice for Jesus Christ, if Heaven is to be our ultimate destination.
If we make no choice at all, the other destination is automatic, or to
use computer language, it is the "default" location.

It amazes me that many people can be rather flippant and quite
unconcerned about this subject. In Matt. 7:21 (nlt), Jesus said this,
"Not all people who sound religious are really godly. They may
refer to me as 'Lord,' but they still won't enter the Kingdom of
Heaven. The decisive issue is whether they obey my Father in
heaven." God says the decisive issue is, "You must be born
again." So, my question for each of us is, "Are we really re-born or
merely re-ligious?" Our answer to that determines our eternal
destiny. Let's take time for serious self-examination.
