Though I be near or far in distance
In task of toil day after day
Though pace of life may speedy send me
My thoughts are never far away

Though darkness falls and then comes slumber
And thoughts of mind seem sure to stray
Though mind may drift and often wonder
My soul in never far away

Though storms may often over shadow
And neglect makes me forget to pray
Though life entangles and often chokes me
My love is near not far away

When death shall close its hands upon me
My treasures then lain up to stay
My hope lies in that dreary crossing
I find you near not far away
