Poetry
On this day as I awaken
And the nighttime sleep is shaken
Now my mind slowly knowing
Another Sabbath morn is born
Knowing this day God has given
A day of rest unto the living
To keep it holy from all others
Separate from the days before
So I arise as oft I've risen
Thanking God for this day given
Knowing God who waits in heaven
Waits to hear my prayers once more
