Out there upon, the troubled waters
the braving, ship does sail
Being tossed to and fro, by the crashing waves
but hoping that it will prevail

The deep dark waters was swaying the ship
no kindnes, it spared it not
With boasting winds, added to this trial
seemly to put it on the spot

Thoughts were wondering, where was God,
after being cast, into the deep
With waters so high, you could not see
you forgot, that he never does sleep

O' ship be calm, God heard your cry
and his light house is only a beam away
Shining so bright, to lead us through
and to give us our sun filled day

When we are down to the lowest depths
God is with us in the deepest sea
No matter the troubles, he is never late
and helps on the way for you and me

There is a calmness that comes, within the soul
knowing we have a life-line to reach out to
And when it's cast, we just take a hold
and it will pull us safely through

For our God would never abandon his ship
he is that anchor when we almost fall
So ride it on out, and keep faith on board
for he has surly heard our call
