The Beginning of Religion

"If I would just know
when to clean my room.
If I could keep it just so,
nobody would be mad at me."
said the six year-old girl.

"If I would just
bleach my hair,
maybe he'd notice me."
said the teen-age girl.

"If I would just act
how he wants,
Maybe he'll marry me."
said the young college woman.

"If I would just
cook a good meat,
maybe he won't hit me."
said the newly wed.

"If I just eat right
and keep my weight down,
maybe he won't leave me."
said the housewife.

"If I could just find a way
to please them all,
maybe they'll visit me."
said the grandma.

The Beginning of Freedom

"If I truly understood
the power of His blood,
then I'd walk in strength."
said the wise wife of God.

"If I could be free
from the pain of my past,
I'd be more open to His romance."
said the beautiful bride of Christ.

"If I could understand
how He uniquely designed me,
I would know how I bless Him already."
said the fearless friend of Christ.

"If I truely understoood
how God's loving eyes see me,
I'd know that I'm his little one."
said the cherished child of God.
