but, some of them can be fun
If we look at things in a different way
we'll be able to enjoy the sun

Those few mishaps that make their way
at our front door at times
But it's not intended to cause any harm
or to make us lose our minds

I say all of this, with some humor
you have to talk back to life
Don't let it beat you down, but face each round
and accept peace instead of strife

Whenever it presents, little gory details
just tell it that it has to go
For you have better things to put in it's place
that can give your life a glow

O' life we know, we have to face you
toe to toe, is what one must do
And regardless what comes, on this road
we're determined to see it through

We can tell the rain, this is a sunny day
rough winds, you have to cease
O' rising tides, we'll enjoy the ride
for down inside, we have peace

I'll roll up my sleeves and bid you well
for I have within, to conquer thee
Long as the sun shines, I'll claim what's mines
for this gift, God gave to me

So roll out your carpet of trails and feats
we'll meet you each day that rise
And with your gory details, we shall prevail
and won't look as it being a surprise
