Written 3-3-05

I don’t know what’s all the fuss,
Even this silly sap can offensively cuss;
Any person can praise the dark;
It all comes from darkened hearts.

But to proclaim Jesus as Lord
Takes a Power outside the horde;
To worship the One who gave our gifts,
Takes the Spirit who healed the rift.

All that I write and all that I say,
By the Spirit came my way;
Not by might, or by power,
But by the Spirit’s finest hour.

This world hails the avant-garde,
And every offensive contemporary bard;
Let’s see a writer glorify his maker,
By the Spirit I challenge all takers.

It’s not natural to hail Jesus as Christ,
As in my flesh to deny Him thrice;
It takes going beyond religious ritual,
In fact it takes the ever-supernatural.

In summation, I leave this with you,
As He has shown me being ever true:
To me He owes nothing for this little write,
His power is aimed with me in its sight.
