Hey, hello, I must be going;
I think my ignorance is showing
I don’t know why He died for me,
All I know is Him on a tree.
Ask me why this bloody cost,
Just so I would not be lost.
I’ll tell you, “I don’t know, please.
But my heart’s been set to ease.”

Hey, hello, I must be going;
I think my faith is growing,
Still don’t know why He died for me;
But He’s no longer on that tree.
His love for me was precious cost;
Loved me that much to stop my loss.
I’ll tell you, “Set your soul to ease,
By His blood, in Him find peace.”

Hey, hello, we must be going;
My new brother and I are showing,
His love to you, by His same grace;
For we’ll see Him face to face.
He lives now at God’s right hand;
Love for all, is His command.
Love the One who paid the cost,
He has saved us from being lost.

See the Bride, who’s been set free,
By that act upon a tree;
We need not know why He died, you see;
Just thankful that He set us free.
We will live in God’s right hand,
Free to love, by His command;
We did nothing to earn this day,
He alone became our Way.
