Prayer Of Daily Submission


Almighty and Omnipotent Father—
Whose voice I hear in the rush of river water,
In the winds that strike my face,
And from the sun that sustains life great and small,
Refresh me!

Lord, source of all that is,
Strengthen me for I am weak without your gifts of grace,
Eternal salvation, unconditional love, and mercy.
I need You every second of the day.

Lord, give my heart and mind to dwell on the beauty
Of Your universe made by Your sacred hands.

Lord, make my hands instruments of Your peace
To all whom they touch.

Lord, make me wise enough in Your ways that I may come
To know and respect all things You have put before
My eyes and in the limitations of my mind.

Lord, permit me to know things enough to know Your
Ever presence.

Lord, strengthen me never to dominate my earthly brothers and sisters,
But to be able to resist my greatest enemies—
Satan and myself.

Lord, give me the energy and personal strength to stand up
To those who would defame You and Your Holy Name
With love, patience, and passion not with meanness or cruelty.

Lord, cleanse me with the fires of the Holy Spirit
That I may humbly come before You with a reconciled heart,
Mind and spirit free of the sin of my very existence.
So when my time comes to face Your grandeur and judgment,
I do so without the stain of my sins knowing my
Salvation was not because of me but YOU.
