Dear Father in heaven I thank You so
That You will never let me go
Even when my old nature rises up again
You are there to comfort me then

Also dear Lord in spite of my sin
Your love waiteth still, You say "Come enter in!"
What loss I sustain when you are not Lord
The times when I slip, which I ill can afford

You continually wait till I start confessing
Then once again I receive Your true blessing
I thank You dear Lord

Dear Father in heaven I thank You so
That You are all I need to know
None other friend sticketh closer than a brother
There is just You Lord, there is none Other

Wasteful and worthless those times when I stray
While Your eager to worship with me in my day
So blind can I be Lord to see Your true will
While I'm looking to self and pleasing me still

So come rescue me Lord, I know You can do it
Help me to seek Thee and swiftly ensue it
I thank You dear Lord
