I'd like to introduce you to a friend of mine
Who has been with me through the best and worst of times
He is always ever present whether night or day
I just have to call His name, He quickly comes to aide

Closer than any brother, this special friend of mine
I can lean upon Him, He's there all the time
His comforting's so precious, I cannot escape that Grace
That takes me from my deepest woe and brings me to His place

I've trusted, tried, and proved Him He has stood the test
Jesus is the Savior who gives the sinner rest!
