Many people are still fighting their battles
and refuse to put the gloves down
As if saying, Lord get out the way this my play
I am going to take this round

Well, then the Lord will say go right ahead
He'll step back if this what you choose
And don't ever say he didn't warn you first
and don't get mad if you lose

For we are bound to make a shipwreack
when we desire our own will
But soon we'll find that it only gets worse
then it's too late to stand still

When we take God out, our situations
then we have tied his hands
So what can he do, but wait til we're through
to obey what he commands

God will not impose, himself on us
and he will give us our space
Because that's how faithful he is to us
even if it's not his taste

He's banking on us to give up the carnal gloves
and hoping that we see his way
And this is because, he really loves us
even when we go astray

Well here we are, good up against the evil
will we pick the one that's right
And will we take what God has to offer
and no more our battles we fight

He has told us that the battle belongs to him
and that should had been enough
So hang up the gloves we won't need them
we have God, who has the right stuff
