There is peace within these walls
the presence of, the Lord resides here
And no weapons can stand against this house
for it was not built on fear

No evil can dwell in this building
for it abides in God's love
So when the enemy comes in like a flood
power is, sent from above

Where the spirit of the Lord there is liberty
so no bondage can ever fence it in
For his word is strong and will break the bonds
all because it lives within

Whenever the bad tries to enter this house
on the door, the sign will say keep out;
And if hate peeps in, and try to find a room
this house will let out a shout

For, the closet will keep, a broom handy
watch and pray and be alert
And work to stay clean, for it's been redeemed
for it can't afford any dirt

So many a visitors, have came it's way
like malice who plays a game
And old jealousy called and did ask to come over
but saw your life, was not the same

Oh this house has seen and heard many things
but, do know what is the best
And when it doesn't, it will call it's owner
to get help so it's mind can rest

For too much strain can wear it down
and it will surly wear away
But thank God for sending a loving Savior
who will keep this house every day
