I see you’re down,
And full of woe;
Your spirit is dry,
With no where to go.

Has joy left you?
Well that’s not true;
Your joy is covered,
By things not for you.

Your spirit’s my concern,
Being in this dark clutch;
But I won’t leave you,
Not on my watch.

So I’ll lift my hands,
To our Father;
To intercede;
To me, it’s no bother.

For you, I’ll stand,
As our Lord Jesus;
That darkness would leave,
With things that would seize us.

Your spirit’s my concern,
Being in this dark clutch;
But I won’t leave you,
Not on my watch.

I'll speak to your life,
To lift your soul;
And I'll not leave you,
Won't let you go!
